Guinée HealthLink and healthcare professionals in Guinea

Who We Are

Guinée HealthLink (GHL) is a digital health initiative dedicated to supporting hospitals, clinics, authorized laboratories, pharmacies, imaging centers, and frontline healthcare professionals across Guinea. Our focus is on building modern, reliable tools that make healthcare delivery more organized, accurate, and connected.

Our work is guided by close collaboration with local facilities and medical professionals. Instead of introducing one-size-fits-all systems, we design solutions that respond directly to Guinea’s realities — limited infrastructure, high patient volumes, and fragmented medical records.

Connected facilities can include authorized hospitals, clinics, laboratories, imaging centers, and pharmacies, including certain outside partners when they work within the same approved care network.

Health Context

Guinea’s Digital Health Opportunity

WHO digital health strategy

Guinea’s National Digital Health Strategy 2021-2025 shows that digital health is already part of the country’s policy direction.

Population context

WHO country data reports a population of about 14.4 million in 2023, increasing the need for scalable, coordinated health information systems.

Efficient systems matter

WHO country data lists current health expenditure at about 3.76% of GDP in 2021, reinforcing the value of resilient systems that improve visibility and reduce waste.

Care Continuity

On soigne pas au hasard, on soigne avec ton histoire.

Behind every consultation is a patient history that should guide safer decisions, clearer follow-up, and more consistent care over time.

How GHL Works

A Digital Health Story Told Step by Step

This section explains how Guinée HealthLink connects the healthcare reality in Guinea to a phased, secure, and ministry-ready digital health platform.

01

The healthcare reality in Guinea

Many facilities still rely on paper records, fragmented workflows, and delayed information sharing between services, making continuity of care harder than it should be.

02

A secure electronic patient record

GHL is built around one secure digital patient record so authorized teams can work from clearer information, reduce duplication, and follow the patient through the full care journey.

03

A connected care network

Hospitals, clinics, laboratories, imaging centers, pharmacies, and approved partners can align around the same digital pathway instead of operating in isolation.

04

A phased and ministry-ready rollout

The system is designed to launch carefully, beginning with pilot hospitals in Conakry and growing over time into a structure that can support oversight, reporting, and long-term national scale.

Mission and Vision

Building a Connected, Data-Driven Healthcare System

Our mission is to equip Guinea’s hospitals, clinics, and authorized care partners with modern digital tools that make healthcare delivery safer, faster, and more reliable.

By strengthening how medical information is recorded, accessed, and shared, we help doctors, nurses, pharmacists, laboratory teams, imaging teams, and health leaders reduce delays, minimize errors, and improve continuity of care.

Our mission also includes bilingual access, role-based permissions, and phased rollout so the tool remains useful, safe, and realistic for frontline teams.

We envision a future where every patient in Guinea can safely access their medical history from Conakry to the most remote prefectures ensuring continuity of care wherever treatment is provided.
